Walking Football
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Peterborough United run walking football sessions every Monday evening, 5:30-6:30 pm, at the Nene Valley Community Centre, Peterborough. The sessions are designed to keep individuals who may struggle with mobility or similar involved with football, increasing physical activity levels. The sessions are run by qualified FA and UEFA coaches, who design coaching sessions and referee games. The games are slower-paced compared to traditional football, minimising contact and therefore risk of injury. The sessions allow those who have loved the sport all their lives to stay involved safely, whilst also introducing the sport to those who may not have considered playing before.
