Theo's Healthy HerO's (Leyton Orient Trust)
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Theo's Healthy HerO's is an educational programme from Leyton Orient Trust that aims to improve the attainment, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing of primary school children through active learning, physical engagement and achievement mentoring. Designed with help from Ofsted inspectors and headteachers and endorsed by the London Healthy Schools Network, it places a specially trained member of Trust staff in a school for one to five days a week. Activities include breakfast and after-school clubs, active maths and literacy interventions (including Premier League Reading Stars), catch-up sessions, classroom support, playground animation, mentoring, PE lessons and healthy lifestyle sessions. Each programme is tailored to the school's objectives, which are monitored, evaluated and reported on at the end.
