Mental wellbeing sessions for cricket clubs
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Opening Up Cricket delivers free mental wellbeing sessions to cricket leagues, clubs, players and coaches, promoting positive mental health and suicide prevention through cricket. All sessions are free of charge and available in person or online, from 30-minute introductions to 60-75 minute workshops covering topics such as coping with setbacks, the power of vulnerability, dealing with stress and pressure, and looking out for team mates, with signposting to further support. Founded in memory of a young cricketer, the organisation has delivered over 500 sessions across the United Kingdom and Australia. Sessions can be arranged for clubs via founder Mark Boyns (mark@openingupcricket.com).
