Food Poverty

Dons Local Action Group supports families across South West London experiencing crisis by delivering food and essential items when they're needed most.​ Poverty and economic inequality in London remain significant challenges. Across the capital more than two million people live in poverty, with large numbers of working households still struggling to meet basic needs such as food, housing and essential services.

We operate as a grassroots network that redistributes surplus food and household items to households who need it. Volunteers are central to the process. Items are sourced from supermarkets, restaurants, and community donations. Once collected, another team of volunteer’s sorts, manages and delivers the items to those in need.
