Chair-Based Exercises at Peterborough United
ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
Peterborough United Foundation is delivering chair-based exercise sessions in care homes in the surrounding area, particularly aimed at those living with Dementia. The sessions aim to support mental and physical wellbeing by focusing on increasing flexibility, strength, coordination, circulation, confidence, and self-esteem, and on reducing the risk of falls. Increasing physical activity in those living with dementia can greatly improve quality of life. The sessions run in two locations every week around the Peterborough area (The Hogson Centre; The Dementia Resource Centre). The first session is free of charge, and from then on, sessions are £3.
