About the Organisation
The Outrunners is a running and movement charity based in Hackney, on a mission to empower young people through movement. Supported by a dedicated crew of volunteers and partner brands including Nike and Moju, it helps young people in East London build confidence, wellbeing, health and leadership skills.
The charity runs free, fun, sociable and youth-led running and movement sessions for 8 to 18 year olds every week, in term time and during the holidays. Its work goes beyond running, with space for young people to explore creativity and culture, go on trips, access wraparound wellbeing support and develop the skills they need to shape their futures.
The Outrunners has grown its income every year since becoming a charity six years ago, and now has an office with its own Youth Hub. Last year it worked with more than 1,150 young people through its schools and community programmes. Recent highlights include a free Girls' Festival for over 100 young girls from ethnically diverse backgrounds, training Academies that have supported more than 250 people to run their first half or full marathon, and trips to events such as Hackney School Run and Black to the Trails.
About the Role
The Outrunners is looking for an experienced Fundraising Partnerships Manager to drive its next stage of growth. Current annual income is around £350,000, and this growth will allow the charity to expand its after-school and holiday programmes and reach more young people.
