Falkirk Foundation was established as a registered charity in September 2010, with a mission to help the local community succeed and live happier, healthier lives. Guided by values of being welcoming, honest, ambitious, and passionate, the Foundation delivers innovative and diverse social community programmes that use the power of football and physical activity to increase confidence and self-esteem, improve health and wellbeing, and boost employability and life skills for young people and adults across Forth Valley.
The Foundation is an accredited SQA Delivery/Assessment Centre and a Disability Confident Committed employer, operating an SQA Approved Learning Centre that is externally audited annually. It is a core partner of Falkirk FC, the biggest football club in the area. Its community coaching offer spans nurseries, the Mini Bairns programme, holiday camps, after-school clubs, disability and mental health activity programmes, and community teams. Over the past four years the Foundation's programmes have grown substantially, expanding participation, its Health & Wellbeing offer, and its learning and education programmes, alongside investment in capital assets — including a new artificial pitch at the stadium and a social enterprise partnership with nearby Comely Park School to manage its football pitch and adjacent Woodlands Sports Hall for the benefit of the school and surrounding community.
About the Role
Falkirk Foundation is looking for Community Coaches to join its team, delivering high-quality sessions to participants across its community programmes. The nature of delivery will vary depending on the specific programme or session type.
What You'll Do
Develop a high standard of delivery, tailored to the participants within each session
Help each participant grow and enhance their footballing development
Create a safe, dynamic environment within the group and be approachable for young people
Help grow group numbers through effective coaching techniques
Mentor and develop participants
Represent the Foundation professionally at all times
