About the Organisation

Falkirk Football Community Foundation is a registered charity serving Falkirk supporters and the wider community. Its work covers mental health and wellbeing, physical health and wellbeing, education and employability, and football activity.

About the Role

Following the Foundation's successful application to the Whole Family Support Third Sector Delivery Fund, it is recruiting a Project Lead to establish and manage Centre Circle in Falkirk. Delivered through a partnership of five football community charities, the programme aims to reduce the pressures of poverty and improve family wellbeing. Local delivery will connect families with practical, financial and wellbeing support through Foundation venues and outreach.

The postholder will lead delivery of Centre Circle in Falkirk, helping establish a service that families can trust and access easily. This includes turning agreed programme commitments into a clear delivery plan, line managing the Family Support Coaches, and coordinating support with local services and the wider Centre Circle partnership. The main responsibility is leading the local service and supporting the team, with direct involvement in family support where needed — overseeing caseloads, safe practice, outcomes and project resources, and keeping families' priorities central to decisions.

This is a family support leadership role; football coaching experience is not required.

What success looks like: Families receive help earlier, make progress towards their own goals and feel listened to. Coaches receive regular supervision and support to manage their workloads. Referrals lead to coordinated help, and delivery meets agreed commitments. Accurate records, family feedback and timely reporting show what is working and inform improvements.

What You'll Do

Leading delivery

Develop and maintain the Falkirk Foundation delivery plan, translating agreed funding commitments into clear activities, responsibilities, timescales and outcomes
Establish clear referral, assessment, support planning and review arrangements, including agreed consent, onward referral and planned endings to support
Oversee different levels of support according to family need, ensuring timely reviews and a coordinated response when circumstances or risks change
Work with local partners to reach families who may not approach formal services; involve parents, carers and children in shaping and reviewing support

Managing and supporting the team

Line manage the Family Support Coaches, providing regular supervision, case discussion, clear objectives and support for professional development
Allocate and review caseloads according to complexity, risk and support intensity; address workload pressures and escalate capacity concerns to the CEO
Provide case guidance, joint visits and direct family support where needed, balancing this with leadership responsibilities and recognising when specialist help is required
Contribute to recruitment and induction, address performance concerns through Foundation procedures and promote staff wellbeing

Safeguarding and quality of support

Oversee safeguarding practice within the project; ensure concerns are recorded and escalated promptly through Foundation procedures and statutory routes, working with the designated safeguarding lead
Oversee safe working arrangements, including outreach, lone working, risk assessment, confidentiality and appropriate information sharing
Review the quality of case records, support plans and referrals; ensure staff use approved systems and follow data protection requirements
Respond to feedback and complaints within your authority, escalate concerns appropriately and use learning to improve delivery

Partnerships and accountability

Build relationships with schools, social work, health services, advice providers and community organisations; agree referral routes and follow-up arrangements
Represent Falkirk delivery in Centre Circle partnership meetings, share learning and coordinate agreed reporting with the consortium lead
Monitor reach, engagement and progress against family goals and agreed programme outcomes; provide accurate, timely reports to the CEO and consortium lead to meet funding requirements
Monitor the agreed project budget and expenditure with finance colleagues, maintain supporting records and flag variances or funding risks
Maintain oversight of delivery risks, unmet needs and gaps in provision; escalate issues to the CEO and recommend changes within agreed funding commitments

Support and development Regular supervision and support from the CEO, relevant training, and ongoing professional development, working within Foundation policies.
