Working in partnership with Brentford FC, the Trust runs a portfolio of programmes across education, health, sports participation and community engagement, and has won the Football League Community Club of the Year award four times. It now employs more than 100 staff and is forecasting further significant expansion, having been appointed as a key partner in the redevelopment of Gunnersbury Park as a sports hub, alongside its move to new, purpose-built premises adjacent to Brentford FC's stadium near Kew Bridge.
About the Role
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust is seeking a passionate and dedicated Football Development Coach to join its team on a casual hours basis. The role involves coaching boys' and girls' football development centres, talent development, and promoting sportsmanship and teamwork within the community. Opportunities are available across several areas — Berkshire and Hillingdon, Ealing and Hounslow, Richmond and Surrey, and Hazelwood and Ashford — with applicants asked to state their area preference on the application form. This particular posting is based in Ealing and Hounslow. The role requires a combination of 3 midweek evenings and/or Saturday mornings to accommodate training sessions.

Reports to: Senior Manager – Football Development
Salary: £13.15 per hour (rate dependent on qualification and experience)
Contract: Casual hours
Location: Ealing and Hounslow (with other areas available — see above)
What You'll Do
Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality outfield coaching sessions for boys and girls of varying age groups and abilities within the football development pathway, based in Ealing and Hounslow
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages participation and personal development
Identify and nurture talented players, providing pathways for their progression within the sport
Work collaboratively with other coaches and support staff to ensure a consistent and holistic approach to player development
Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to players and their guardians
Attend all Quality Assurance staff training offered by the Trust during the term of employment
Ensure all equipment is available and well maintained
Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel, and maintain accurate records of incidents, concerns, and actions taken
What They're Looking For
Essential
Minimum UEFA C Coaching qualification
Previous experience coaching football at grassroots or academy level
FA Safeguarding certificate
FA Emergency Aid certificate
Current DBS
Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young players
Excellent organisational and planning abilities
Commitment to continuous professional development
Ability to travel to a variety of workplaces within West London using own transport
Flexibility to work outside normal office hours, including midweek evenings and/or Saturday mornings
Desirable
UEFA B qualification or above
National Goalkeepers Course Certificate
Computer literate (Microsoft Office) / IT skills
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
