Department: Marketing Location: London Office Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 / year
About the Organisation
Bloomsbury Football Foundation (BFF) is on a mission to transform the lives of young people through football, delivering programmes that support development both on and off the pitch. Its provision is underpinned by a financial assistance model that makes football accessible regardless of ability to pay. In just six years, BFF has grown from an idea into a movement reaching over 6,500 young people across London every week. Its Schools programme is central to this: BFF currently works with over 50 primary and secondary schools across London, reaching more than 3,400 young people weekly, making it one of the biggest school delivery organisations in the city.
About the Role
The School Partnerships Lead is a new role at BFF, created to take the organisation from 50 hours of school units to 100 hours within 12 months. The postholder will build and own the end-to-end process that makes this happen — mapping the market, identifying high-potential schools, developing outreach and conversion pathways, and refining the approach based on results. This includes leading conversations with headteachers, PE leads, and school business managers, and moving prospects through the pipeline from first contact to signed agreement. Once a school is onboarded, the role hands over to BFF's Communities Leads, who manage the ongoing delivery relationship.
This is a mission-led sales role rather than a commercial one — the schools offer is subsidised and built around what young people need rather than a margin to protect. The role also carries real scope to shape how BFF communicates its schools offer, develop supporting materials, and contribute to the strategy for expanding beyond London to a national footprint.
What You'll Do
School acquisition & pipeline management
Build a strong pipeline of prospective school partners across London, Leicester, and other cities as BFF scales nationally
Develop a targeted, repeatable acquisition strategy mapped by school type, geography, and programme fit
Lead outbound outreach — emails, calls, visits, and attendance at education and school sport events
Understand each school's context and priorities (e.g. PE coverage, SEN inclusion, girls' football) and shape BFF's offer accordingly
Organise and run free taster sessions as a key conversion tool
Lead conversations with school decision-makers through to signed agreement
Track and report on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and school growth against targets
Communication & stakeholder engagement
Act as BFF's lead voice with prospective school partners, providing a consistently professional and mission-led experience
Build relationships with education stakeholders — PE networks, multi-academy trusts, local authorities, school sport partnerships
Represent BFF at education events, school sport conferences, and community forums
Materials, data & continuous improvement
Work with the Programmes and Marketing teams to develop and refine sales collateral and school-facing materials
Develop tailored pitch materials and proposals for different school contexts
Maintain accurate, up-to-date prospect and pipeline records in Salesforce
Build market intelligence on procurement decisions and national policy trends
Use data and feedback to continuously refine messaging, targeting, and materials
Contribute ideas to shape BFF's broader schools strategy
Uphold BFF's safeguarding policies and values across every product line
What They're Looking For
Essential
Strong alignment with BFF's values and genuine belief in football as a tool for social impact
A natural communicator and relationship builder able to persuade and engage a range of stakeholders
Ability to manage a pipeline or workload independently while consistently meeting targets
Clear, professional communication skills, adaptable across headteachers, PE coordinators, and school business managers
Comfortable using data and impact evidence to build a compelling case
Motivated by metrics and clear targets, reflective about what is and isn't working
Reliable and detail-oriented, with strong record-keeping and deadline management
Good grasp of technology, including Microsoft 365 and Salesforce or similar CRMs
A collaborative team player, curious about the wider organisation
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
Desirable
1-2 years' experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or fundraising
Sound understanding of what matters to teachers, PE leads, and school decision-makers
Familiarity with the London education landscape, or existing relationships within London schools
Experience in the not-for-profit or social impact sector
Understanding of the grassroots football landscape and/or youth sports provision
