Aston Villa Foundation is the official charity of Aston Villa Football Club. Working under the mission "Working Together to Enrich Lives", it uses the club to benefit communities around Villa Park and across Birmingham through education, health, disability sport and community engagement programmes.
About the Role
Aston Villa Foundation is looking for an Events & Fundraising Manager to lead the planning and delivery of its fundraising events and campaigns. The role sits in the Foundation's Business Development and Communications team and focuses on growing income and building lasting relationships with supporters, corporate partners and the wider community.
The role is full time (35 hours a week) and permanent, based at Villa Park, with some matchday, evening and weekend work.
What You'll Do
Events
- Build and run an annual calendar of fundraising events
- Deliver large-scale events from start to finish: concept, budget, planning, promotion, suppliers and post-event review
Fundraising and income
- Develop a range of sustainable income streams
- Oversee grant applications, sponsorship proposals and other funding opportunities
- Work across individual giving, corporate, trust and major donor fundraising
Performance
- Track fundraising performance against targets and KPIs
- Report regularly on results and return on investment
- Make sure fundraising supports the Foundation's work in education, health, disability sport and community engagement
Relationships
- Build strong relationships with supporters
- Work closely with colleagues across the Foundation
- Raise awareness of the Foundation's impact
What They're Looking For
Essential
- Experience of fundraising, event management or income generation
- A track record of delivering successful events and campaigns
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience of managing budgets and income targets
- Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills
- The ability to spot new fundraising and partnership opportunities
- A collaborative, flexible approach to juggling priorities
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Availability for matchdays, evenings and weekends
